Slough Shakha’s Blood Donation Drive for Sewa UK

On a cool Wednesday evening on the 24th May, in Slough, Abhimanyu Shakha and Sita Shakha got together to give blood. Sewa UK has been driving these donations in over 25 Towns in the UK and 2 towns in Wales.

With double-digit registrations, many of which donated for the first time, there were a lot of nerves, which quickly turned cheery when noticing the saghatan demonstrated by our swayemsevaks and sevikas.

Slough Karyawaha Ajay Murudkar led the drive in his local town, where Sewa Day is in partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant to launch this campaign to encourage more people from the South Asian communities to come forward and register as blood and organ donors.
